As a Software Developer (m/f/d) in the Banking & Payments team, you’ll be part of a cross-functional, agile team that ensures smooth and secure loan accounting and cash flows between investors and borrowers.

We work autonomously in Scrum, where developers, testers and product owners collaborate to build scalable solutions. Pair programming, cross-team exchange and knowledge sharing are key to our success. Our domain services run on Kubernetes, deployed effortlessly via custom CI/CD pipelines with full DevOps support.

What you can expect:

Shape the Future of FinTech: Work in an agile, cross-functional team to develop scalable and secure financial solutions.
Develop & Optimize: Build complex business systems in PHP 8 with Symfony, ensuring clean, maintainable code.
Own the Process: Take responsibility for automated testing with PHPUnit or Cypress to maintain high software quality.
Innovate with Modern Architecture: Contribute to our service-oriented architecture, working with Kafka event-driven communication.
End-to-End Development: Deploy effortlessly with CI/CD pipelines in Kubernetes, supported by our DevOps experts.
Understand the Business: Gain deep insights into non-technical, business-related processes within a leading FinTech company and help shape solutions that drive real impact.
Maximum Flexibility: Work remotely from anywhere in Germany, with only two office visits per year required.

Your profile

Passionate Developer: You love coding, bring innovative ideas and thrive in an agile environment.
Backend Expertise: Several years of hands-on experience with object-oriented programming (preferably PHP) and MySQL databases.
Cloud & Containerization Know-How: Experience with Kubernetes, Docker and CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment and scalability.
Event-Driven Architecture: Familiarity with Kafka-based communication and service-oriented architectures is a plus.
Testing Enthusiast: Knowledge of PHPUnit or Cypress to ensure robust software quality.
Monitoring & Performance Optimization: Experience with NewRelic or similar tools to keep services running smoothly.
Version Control Savvy: Proficient in Git, ensuring efficient collaboration and clean versioning practices.
Finance Enthusiast: Interest in financial systems and processes; experience in FinTech development is a plus.
Agile Mindset: Experience working in Scrum teams, embracing iterative development and feedback-driven improvement.
Strong Communicator: Fluent in English (German is a plus) and able to explain technical concepts clearly.
